Resource security and budgetary impact of the timber industry

The article examines the systemic imbalance between the significant resource potential of the forest industry and its insufficient budgetary impact. Based on the analysis of data on the distribution of forest resources and income from forestry activities in the context of federal districts, a stable spatial asymmetry has been identified. It has been proven that the key reason is interrelated institutional and infrastructural constraints.
